Labels

Direct Thermal labels are created by directly printing the image onto the label. Ribbons are not used to generate the image rather, Direct Thermal printing uses chemically treated, heat sensitive substrates that blacken as the label passes under the printhead. The cost associated with Direct Thermal printing is usually less than Thermal Transfer printing.

Thermal Transfer labels are produced by a heated ribbon, transferring the ink onto a wide variety of materials. The images that are transferred are longer lasting than the images created with direct thermal labels.

Pressure sensitive labels have an adhesive applied to the substrate with a release liner on the back (peel and stick). Pressure sensitive labels can be individually cut or on a roll. The labels are blank or pre-printed for your convenience.
